Look at me, John the Baptist,
with my curly brown hair
feminine face
and sexy smile
Don’t you love the soft woolen towel
wrapped around my young, nubile body?
Can you tell I’ve just come out of the water
dripping with saintly desire?
No, that was no baptism
I don’t know where they get these ideas
we were simply skinny-dipping on a warm summer’s eve
because its unbearably hot
in Jerusalem in July.
That’s not a cross I carry
but my staff, you silly,
and my finger isn’t pointing towards heaven
but telling you where to go.
